The Medical Representatives' Insitute of Ireland (MRII) Annual Conference & AGM 2010 was held in Hotel Kilkenny, Kilkenny from the 14th to the 16th May.  It was the MRII's 26th National Conference and was the last event in the out-going President Kelvina Galavan's calendar.

Brightwater Recruitment Specialists were one of the sponsors, having being involved with the Medical Representatives' Institute of Ireland for several years and consultant Pauline McCullagh who specialises in pharmaceutical and medical sales recruitment was on hand to speak to medical sales representatives about jobs in Ireland within the pharmaceutical industry.

Speakers at the conference included Dr Gerald Farrell, the IPHA President who spoke about developments in the research-based pharmaceutical industry in Ireland, Professor Seamus Cowman, the Head of the Department of Nursing & Midwifery in the Royal College of Surgeons and Nick O'Hare, Director of IMS Health Ireland who spoke about how global pharmaceutical market trends will impact the Irish marketplace.

Out-going President Kelvina Galavan gave way to Gareth Fayre, the new President of the Medical Representatives' Institute of Ireland (MRII).
