31st May 2010: New jobs boost at Portadown store

Up to six new jobs will be created at a Co Armagh store.

Portadown Carpet Centre has unveiled the 14,000 sq ft showroom.

The investment was funded by Ulster Bank.

Ryan Mawhinney, of Ulster Bank's Portadown Business Centre, said: "Portadown Carpet Centre is a successful local family firm that we are pleased to help expand and develop.

"The new purpose built premises will allow the company to stock many more lines than was possible in the previous store and therefore to capitalise on the opportunities that exist to take the business to the next level."
