Hygiene Job: Hygiene Shift Manager Job:

My client based in Craigavon require a Hygiene Shift Manager for their Food Manufacturing Site. This is a full time permanent position with an excellent salary available.

The Job:

The Hygiene shift Manager is responsible for all hygiene issues and associate people and/or machinery, all housekeeping, quality of service, training and development of team members whilst operating in a safe and efficient manner. The Shift Manager is also responsible for ensuring all requirements are acted upon in accordance with company policies. Duties will include (but not be limited to): • Manage the use of chemicals, equipment and labour within budgeted targets, while maximizing the efficiency of the process and ensuring that requisite hygiene standards are achieved and maintained. • Responsible for the day to day management and motivation of the team, dealing with any absence or performance issues using the outlined company procedures. Conduct regular performance reviews with all team members. • Ensure your area of control is operating at all times in a clean and tidy manner, within technical specifications, with minimum use of labour and to minimal cost in terms of chemical waste. • Report performance using defined KPI’s • Ensure excellent communication with all team members, holding team meetings and taking part in cross functional factory meetings to ensure overall effectiveness of the business. • Be available for and actively participate in customer audits, Environmental Health Audits, BRC Audits and all other audits on site. • Constantly work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.

Essential Criteria:

• A qualification in Chemicals/Food Hygiene or related discipline • Hygiene experience within a Food Manufacturing setting • One year’s minimum experience managing a team • Previous experience within a job role that required knowledge of labour and throughput controls and cost benefits.

Desirable Criteria:

• HACCP Qualification • 3rd Level qualification in a Food related subject
Hours of Work:
