    Responsibilities

    Reporting directly to the Production Manager the successful Production Supervisor will:
  • Ensure correct allocation of labour and materials alike, optimising resources at all times
  • Work together with your team to hit hourly targets, holding quick and efficient meetings to discuss problems and provide solutions where target has failed to be met
  • Support the Production Manager, informing him when problems have meant your team have had to go off plan, ensuring all company KPI’s and objectives are met
  • Lead and direct your team members with clear objectives to achieve daily operational targets. Praise, encourage and support your team members to work to their full potential at all times, engaging with site trainers to ensure all necessary training is provided to your team
  • Engage with the Technical, Procurement and all other cross functional colleagues to discuss any production, staff, training, product or related issues.
  • Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 1 year’s previous experience as a Production Supervisor within a Food Manufacturing environment OR 4 year’s previous experience as a Team Leader within a Food Manufacturing environment
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or above
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts on a set shift pattern to include days, evenings, nights and one weekend in four
  • Proven people management and excellent communication skills
  • Desirable Criteria

  • HACCP experience and/or qualification
