  • Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of the company’s key sourcing requirements for the specialist joinery and fit-out departments so that a preferred supplier list can be developed, while also developing new supplier relationships, ensuring the most cost effective terms and conditions are in place
  • Develop a corporate procurement policy, ensuring it is implemented across the business
  • Ensure each required item is procured in accordance with the procurement policy
  • Working closely with the Production Manager and Site Managers to develop a procurement schedule per project, ensuring all the required items are ordered and delivery is scheduled in accordance with build schedules
  • Follow up on time critical deliveries, seeking alternative suppliers where deadlines cannot be met should the need arise
  • Explore and implement cost reduction opportunities across the business
  • Liaise with the finance department to ensure all orders are placed and processed using the correct purchase order numbers and to ensure the finance team are aware of the terms and conditions applicable to each supplier
  • Other administrative duties to include operating the company switch board as and when required, creating document packs as and when required, use CAD to assist the Design team with Design drawings where required, reading drawings to ensure correct quantity of materials are ordered
  • Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline
  • Minimum one years’ previous experience in a Supply Chain job within a construction setting
  • Minimum two years’ customer service experience
  • Experience using CAD and/or experience reading technical drawings for procurement purposes
