Manufacturing Engineering Leader Job in Belfast area. Due to continued success, our client in the Belfast Area have a requirement for a Manufacturing Manager to join the company. Excellent salary £40,000 to £45,000 + benefits package available.
Established over twenty years ago in Belfast, the client is well renowned in their high-tech field, offices worldwide. Recently acquired by a world leading provider of high technology tools, the Belfast business is set to grow and expand with new investment and new markets.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead the introduction of new manufacturing processes and the implementation of process design, process automation, standard work, costing, FMEA process development and training.
Senior Manufacturing Engineering Leader Key Responsibilities include:
• Manage the Manufacturing Engineering team’s performance and related problem solving. • Meet their Value Stream production goals and achieve daily linear production in support of S&OP by effective management of scheduling, material, and personnel. • Act as a main interface between Industrialisation, Operations and Engineering in the introduction of new manufacturing processes to fully support new business development. • Lead ongoing Process Engineering requirements of established manufacturing processes including process related problem resolution and process improvement. • Drive all Lean activities within the Value Stream including 5S, Process Mapping, Flow Methods (Pull, Kanban), Gemba Walks, Standard Work and Visual Management. • Meeting with the employees regularly, reflecting on problems, solutions, and challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement and contributing towards becoming a learning organization. .
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent. • Strong Manufacturing Management experience • Proven track record in effective team management with an ability to lead change and engage people. • Demonstrable ability to use business metrics to drive business results • Experience in Continuous Improvement through execution of Lean Manufacturing principles (6-Sigma, Process Excellence, Kaïzen, etc.)
Salary = Excellent salary £40,000 to £45,000 and benefits package for the right candidate
