Manufacturing Engineer in Belfast area. Due to continued success, our client in Belfast have a requirement for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the company on an initial 6 month contract - Salary - £30,000 to £34,000 - 4 day week Mon- Thurs (37.5 hour)

The Role:

The Manufacturing engineer’s role will include designing and defining the process to successfully execute the assembly, test and paint processes within the facility. The facility produces drivetrain components – Axles and Transmissions. Manufacturing engineer Key Responsibilities include: • Develop Line balances to ensure efficient deployment of resources • Implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve quality and safety. • Adapt processes in line with engineering change and NPI • Support APQP and PPAP activities • Work with MQ core team to address quality issues and meet Value Stream quality targets • Maintain manufacturing documentation in line with ISO9001 and CQMS requirements • Create and maintain Standard Work documentation • Create and maintain Safety FMEAs

The Person:

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following: Essential Criteria: • Engineering Degree Qualified with relevant manufacturing engineering experience or significant experience working as a manufacturing / process Engineer including: Experience required • Machine processes and Lean manufacturing practices • SAP or another MRP/ERP • Creation of work documentation • improving and adapting processes in line with engineering change and NPI Desirable: • Six Sigma and APQP • Does this sound like the challenge you have been looking for?
