  • Our client is a global freight forwarding and distribution specialist who employ over 17,000 people worldwide. With over 300 locations across 103 countries they have built a reputation as being one of the biggest and one of the best in their sector. In order to further enhance their Air and Ocean department, they now seek to retain an experienced Export Manager for the Belfast Team.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain an effective department organisation chart, designed for flexibility and growth
  • Prepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the department
  • Monitor and improve KPI’s for the department
  • Always instill a climate of compliance to Operational Process Standards, Government regulations and customer policies/requirements
  • Monitor and understand department process flow, recognising areas for improved efficiency to offer customers a better service as well as controlling costs
  • Actively develop business for the department through involvement in Sales and retention process
  • Pro-actively provide pricing alternatives, routing solutions and technical assistance to customers through internal sales, both regional and global
  • Assist District Manager with preparation of annual department budget
  • Attend monthly meetings with District Manager to review department financials, productivity, results and future goals

  • Essential Criteria

  • 4 years of industry specific experience
  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP systems
  • Effective communication skills with a proven ability to encourage and develop a team
  • Experience collating and presenting data and figures to directors/shareholders
