The Role

The Validation Specialist will be required to plan, lead, and execute all validation activities. This will include review of the existing processes, products, and suppliers, as well as execution of all validation activities relating to new and/or changes in processes, products, and suppliers. The validation specialist will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in devising and implementing validation plans and protocols, as well as preparing reports. This role will report to the Managing Director. Duties Include: • Implement a validation strategy around new product introductions, changes to processes, and suppliers. • To develop protocols relating to process and cleaning validation requirements in keeping with current GMP guidance, to support the implementation of new products and/or processes, and changes to existing products and/or processes, including the introduction of new suppliers. • To work with cross-functional teams in the coordination and execution of validation activities, ensuring issues are addressed in a timely way to minimize any delays. • To compile all validation documentation and prepare validation reports in support of all validated changes. • Communicate regularly with key site stakeholders on the status of all validation activities. • Manage and coordinate all external validation requirements, as required. • Monitor current guidance from authorities such as FDA and EU regulatory bodies and ensure validations are compliant with existing expectations. • Manage and support of all periodic reviews relating to all operational aspects of the business, ensuring execution of these in a timely way. • To ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with GMP, where applicable and in keeping with company policies and procedures, including EHS polices. The Person: It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a FMCG/ pharma background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following: Essential: • Life Science or Engineering degree • Experience in a validation/technical services role within a scientific and manufacturing environment • Experience in managing technical projects and report writing • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and make presentations to external stakeholders • Experience of working in a GMP/GLP environment.
