Production Planner Job. Our client based in County Antrim wish to recruit an experienced Senior Production Planner to join their growing team, on a full-time basis. Excellent Salary available for right Candidate + Bonus and excellent package

The Role:

Reporting Directly to the Business. The Senior Production planner will be responsible for the management and development of all aspects of the production planning and scheduling systems and processes. They will develop a lead role in the development and implementation of improvement initiatives and refinements to current processes. • To manage production planning and related activities within the organisation including: o Create, maintain and communicate production schedules. o Works order processing for sales orders and stock replenishment ensuring optimal production levels o Issuing and managing picking requirements in line with production plans. o Monitor production status and ensure on time in full targets are adhered to highlighting and communicating issues that may impact on service levels. o Maintaining and updating production planning software • To manage the development and refinement of production planning systems and software, working with Production, Supply chain, Customer Service, and IT departments to identifying areas of improvement and to manage their implementation. • Review and challenge rolling sales forecast, aligning capacity with demand and highlighting constraints and bottlenecks. • Communicate plans, objectives, and performance through structured meetings and related KPI’s • Manage made to stock ranges and replenish within agreed parameters. • Monitor material supply flow and identify shortages or bottlenecks. • Outsource capacity when demand dictates and monitor subcontractor performance. • Interface between relevant functions to ensure customer requirements are met.

The Person:

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following: Essential: • Minimum of 3 years’ experience Production Planning in mass production environment. • Experience in stock control / replenishment. Working autonomously to achieve operational objectives. • Monitoring compliance with schedules and plans and reporting variances. • Leading process improvements relating to production planning and stock control. • Strong IT skills and systems experience
